I have created code groups/codes for both catalog types B and C. Assignment of code groups to catalog profile has also been done.
They are also appearing in F4 help in notification (in respective fields .
In fact after I posted my query, I had replaced one of the catalog values in transaction "Change Catalogs and Catalog Profile for Notifications" with the one created by me (say in field SAKAT "Coding" replacing catalog "D" with the one created by me) and then the newly created code group/codes were appearing in the notification (of course in place of the code group/codes which I had replace i.e. "D").
What I am asking is (as already submitted in my query):
How to make the new set of catalog, code group and codes that I have created (and assigned to catalog profile) appear in the notification (as new field/s with search help built in)?
There is another doubt in my mind as to the purpose of assigning any number of catalogs to the catalog profile if I can not use them in notification (to which the profile has been attached).
OR is there a way to do so though standard customizing route which I am missing.
I hope I am being coherent.

I have placed a combo of different screen areas from notification the last one showing the new catalog that I have created and replaced with catalog "D" for notification type being used in this example. You can see that the code groups/codes created for catalog "B" is being picked up during notification creation (so no problem here).
